Mezzo secolo di cambiamenti della Cina dalla prospettiva inusuale, personale e leggera di un uomo comune e della sua ostinata passione per il volo. Mingqi è un operaio che eredita dal padre l’amore per le mongolfiere. Da giovane lavora segretamente ad una macchina volante e in età matura, per raccogliere il denaro necessario alle cure del nipote, riesce a trasformare quell’ammasso di rottami in qualcosa che può davvero volare. Non dimentichiamo mai di guardare in alto!

Factory worker Mingqi inherited his father's love of hot air balloons. As a young man, he secretly worked on a flying machine, and in later life manages to transform that pile of junk into something which can actually fly in order to raise money for his grandson's medical care.
