Per un gruppo di studenti cinesi a Tokyo, che si barcamenano tra studio e lavoro, potrebbe essere il ristorante Nankokute la cui manager è in Giappone già da parecchio ma non riesce ad avere il permesso di soggiorno. Il cuoco ha lasciato la famiglia in Cina e non è ancora riuscito a farsi raggiungere. I due camerieri hanno uno il padre malato l’altro alcolizzato e violento.
